Microsoft acknowledges that things are a little chaotic for developers with four independent time lines racing towards the finish line. You have Visual Studio, Silverlight, MVC, and RIA Services; each having specific dependencies on one another all trying to go gold in the first half of 2010.
The most anticipated product to watch right now is the release candidate for Silverlight 4; which brings along Visual Studio 2010 support. It is anyone's guess as to an exact time line for this release. The only public Microsoft statement relating to Silverlight 4 is that it will RTM in the first half of 2010.
