Windows 7 Coming Your Way
In case you're suffering with Vista, or just interested in Windows 7, it finally released to manufacturing today. I love Windows 7, and can't wait to rebuild all my client machines to use it. If you're an MSDN subscriber, you can download the final build of Windows 7 starting August 6. My friend Brian Randell has been running Windows 7 on his Thinkpad X61 laptop, using an SSD drive, and he reports that this combination runs extremely well. I also have a ThinkPad X61, and it runs quite pokily using Windows Vista. I'm looking forward to replacing the hard drive, installing the RTM version of Windows 7, and granting this machine a new lease on life.
